VOTING INFORMATION

2024 General Election: Tuesday, November 5, 2024, 7am - 8pm

Register to Vote / Update Voter Registration:

  • Never a registered voter in Maryland? Register to vote here!

  • VERIFY your current registration here.

  • Update your name, address or party affiliation here.

 

 

Early Voting: Thurs October 24 -Thurs October 31, 7am-8pm.

You can go to any of the following locations to vote early:

  • Westminster Senior Center - 125 Stoner Avenue, Westminster

  • South Carroll Senior Center - 5928 Mineral Hill Road, Sykesville

  • Coppermine PantherPlex - 1400 Panther Drive, Hampstead

Voting by Mail:

For information about mail-in voting for the 2024 elections, go to the Maryland State Board of Elections Mail-in Voting: Information and Instructions page.

 

To get a mail-in ballot, go to the Maryland State Board of Elections Mail-in Ballot Request page.

The deadline to ask for a mail-in ballot depends on how you want to get your ballot:

  • If you want to get your ballot through the mail or by fax, your application must be received (not just mailed) by 8pm on Tuesday 10/29/24 via mail request OR by 11:59pm on Tuesday 10/29/24, via email/fax request.

  • If you want to get your ballot via the internet, your application must be received by 5pm on Friday 11/1/24 via mail request OR by 11:59pm on Friday 11/1/24 via email/fax request.

  • If you hand deliver your application and the ballots are ready, you can pick up your ballot at the Carroll County Board of Elections office by 8pm on Tuesday 11/5/24 (General election day).

  • All Mail-in Ballot Drop Boxes and Polling Locations close at 8pm on Tuesday 11/5/24.

 

Timeline to receive mail-in ballots:

  • Deadline for the local boards to receive a ballot placed in ballot drop box or election judges to receive a ballot at a voting location: 8pm Tuesday November 5th.

  • Deadline for the local boards to receive absentee ballots by mail: 10am Friday November 15th, provided there is a proper postmark or date on voter's oath.
